Abstract
The third structural moment of the basic state of Dasein is the entity which has Being-in-the-world as the way in which it is. This entity is the being we ourselves are. In-being and world never appear independently of the entity typically referred to as the self or the "I," and, by the same token, the self does not appear independently of the world. Moreover, it is not the identical self that possesses primacy over the world, it is Being-in-the-world that holds this priority and it does so over the world and the self.
