Husserl and Bolzano
pp. 69-82
Abstract
We now come to the discussion of the relation of Husserl to Bolzano, insofar as this relation is relevant to determining Husserl's position in the school of Brentano. The most important themes here will be the Bolzanian notion of the objects of logic and Husserl's reaction to this notion. Before I discuss these themes, however, it will be helpful to sketch the reception of Bolzano in the school of Brentano.
